The XXXI AIDI “Francesco Turco” Summer School will take place at the Lecco Campus of Politecnico di Milano, one of the University’s main territorial campuses and a recognised centre for engineering education and applied research.

Located between Milan and the Lake Como area, the campus offers a high-quality academic environment within a distinctive natural and cultural setting, providing an ideal context for scientific exchange, learning and international collaboration.

The Lecco Campus of Politecnico di Milano is one of the University’s territorial campuses dedicated to engineering education and research. It hosts academic activities, research laboratories and services for students, researchers and faculty, operating within the institutional framework of Politecnico di Milano.

The campus represents a reference point for teaching and research activities carried out in close connection with the local industrial and institutional context, providing an academic setting suited to scientific events, training initiatives and international academic exchange.

How to reach us

By Train

From Milano Centrale, Lecco can be reached in about 40 minutes with frequent regional trains. From Lecco railway station (Stazione FS di Lecco), the Politecnico di Milano – Lecco Campus (Via G. Previati 1/c) is about a 10–12 minute walk (approx. 1 km).

By Car

From Milan and the main motorways in Lombardy, Lecco is easily reachable by following signs for Lecco / Sondrio and joining SS36 (Nuova Valassina). Continue to the “Lecco Centro” exit and follow local signs to Politecnico / Campus (Via Previati).
For multi-day parking, two convenient options are Parcheggio “La Piccola” (Via Giovanni Amendola 49) and Autosilo “Ponte Vecchio” (Via Aspromonte 48). From both, the campus can be reached in about a 4–6 minute walk.

By Plane

The most convenient airports to reach Lecco are Milan Malpensa (MXP), Milan Linate (LIN) and Bergamo Orio al Serio (BGY).

From Milan Malpensa and Milan Linate, the easiest option is to reach Milano Centrale and then continue by train to Lecco. Total travel time is approximately 1h30–2h15, depending on connections and waiting times.

From Bergamo Orio al Serio, there is currently no direct train connection to Lecco. Two alternative routes are available:
– take a bus to Milano Centrale, then continue by train to Lecco;
– take a bus to Bergamo railway station, then a bus to Ponte San Pietro, and from there a train to Lecco.

Total travel time from Bergamo Orio al Serio is approximately 1h30–2h30, depending on the chosen route and connections.
